Friends

Over the years I've learned a couple things about friends. Friends can be a great joy or a pain in the butt. Sometimes they can be both. It's funny how a stranger can turn to a friend and a friend can turn into a stranger in two seconds. Although friends are a good thing, I've learned that it is better to have a couple of good friends than a bunch of mediocre friends. What's the difference? Mediocre friends are the ones who talk to you when they are in need of a service. Good friends always talk to you, even to the point of annoyance. Mediocre friends plan to hang out with you, but never does it. A good friend will come see you at every opportunity they can. A good friend can make you happy just by looking at them. A good friend can change your mood just with their presence.  A good friend makes you feel like you can share anything with them, without being judge. They love you for who you are and don't ever want to change you. A good friend is someone who you can stay up all night talking to. They can make you laugh even though they aren't funny. Most importantly they are always there for you, even when you aren't there for them. This world is cold and cruel, but with a good friend it makes the struggle a lot easier. So I encourage you to not get caught up in being popular ,but find yourself a good friend. If you already have one, make sure you tell them how much you appreciate them. If you don't then take the time to be a good friend yourself, and be the change that you want to see in tomorrow.

Stormy nights.

I can't fall asleep at night.
My eyes are wide open
And i'm tucked in nice and tight.
I wonder what the problem is then.

Could it be that my brain is set free?
My thoughts are running wild
And I really have to pee.
I can hold it. I'm not a child.

I close my eyes one last time
As I start to dose off
Listening to the sounds of a chyme,
Until I'm alarmed by a storm of coughs

Back to square one.
It's 3AM and it's pouring
Fatigue has won
And now I'm snoring.
